  • Kindergarten Registration Week is February 8 - 12, 2016

    9 am to 3 pm

    Children need to be 5-years-old by August 31 in order to begin kindergarten in that school year.

    Parents will be required to contact the school in the attendance district where the parents reside or contact the Office of School Assignment at 704-296-1006 to secure the school assignment. School assignments may also be found using the Edulog School Assignment Finder.  To enroll the child(ren), parents should take the following documents to the school: 

    • Birth Certificate
    • Immunization Records
    • Two proofs of residence

    (Acceptable documents to prove residence:) 
    1. Notarized rental/purchase agreement
    2. Utility bills (electric, telephone, gas, etc.)
    3. Drivers license and automobile registration
    4. Car insurance and property insurance policies
    5. Income tax W-2 form and property tax bill

  • Girls on the Run

    Registration for the Spring Session of Girls on the Run will be online on January 19th at 7pm. Flyers went home with all 3rd-5th grade girls on Monday.

    Girls on the Run will meet on Mondays and Thursdays from 2:00-3:15pm in Mrs. Herrin’s room (Unionville Elementary). The season runs from February 15th-April 30th.

    In November, Mrs. Selvidio’s 1st grade class was working on a nonfiction unit in reading and writing. They enjoyed doing a research based project on a nocturnal animal of their choice.

  • Barrier Island 2015

    During the last week of October 2015, twenty-six Fairview Elementary Academically and Intellectually Gifted (AIG) students traveled to Seabrook Island, South Carolina to participate in a school trip of a lifetime. For three days and two nights, students were immersed in a world of hands-on scientific learning. Students were able to explore the outdoors and gain knowledge and awareness about the environment.

  • Fairview November Food Drive!

    Fairview Elementary School in partnership with the Kiwanis Club on Union county held a food drive November 2nd through November 13th. Fairview students brought in canned goods and non-perishable items to donate to local families all across the county.
