Our school moved up a letter grade on the North Carolina School Report Card! Our School Performance Grade is the highest since Common Core implementation! We’re proud of our students, parents, and staff and can’t wait to improve next year!
6th Grade Tech. Night
6th grade technology night will be Wednesday 10/18 at 5:00. Please join us to learn more about 6th grade curriculum, chromebooks and classroom technology, as well as social media and cyber safety. Any questions please ask your child’s teachers or Ms. Vickers, 6th grade assistant principal.

7th and 8th Grade Basketball Cheerleading ***Date Change***
Attention any 7th or 8th grade girls interested in trying out for basketball cheerleading- information sheets are in the front office! Stop by before or after school to pick up the flyer. All forms needed to tryout are available on the PRMS website under ‘athletics’. These forms are due to Ms. Hoff by October 24th, no exceptions. Tryouts are November 6, 7, and 8th from 4-5:30. Make Up Picture Day
Thursday, November 2, 2017 is our make up picture day. Any student who was absent the original picture day should have their picture taken for the yearbook.
2018-19 Calendar Survey
Union County Public Schools is conducting a survey to gather input for the 2018-19 calendar. I encourage you participate and learn more about the calendar planning process. You can access the survey from the Announcements section on our school website or the Quick Links section on the UCPS website. The survey will close at 10 p.m. on October 24.

National Junior Art Honors Society
The next meeting is Wednesday, October 18th in Mrs. Durbin's room from 4-5 p.m., details concerning formal inductions will be shared!
Inductions are Wednesday, November 1st from 4:30-5:30 p.m. in the cafeteria! All Poster Entries for the PRMS Art Poster Contest are due no later than Friday, October 20th!
Eighth grade yearlong art students at PRMS have joined the Memory Project, a charitable nonprofit organization that invites art teachers and their students to create and donate portraits to youth around the world who have faced substantial challenges, such as neglect, abuse, loss of parents, violence, and extreme poverty.
