    MHS Transition Night for Rising 9th Grade Students

    All rising 9th grade students, who will be attending MHS for the 2018-2019 school year, are invited to our Spring Open House event on May 15th from 6:00 pm-7:00 pm. You will have the opportunity to meet teachers, students, coaches, administrators, counselors and staff at the event. The event will be held in the Monroe High Auditorium., We look forward to meeting you!

  • 2018 Union County Public School Parent Information Letters;

    Parents the window for the UCPS Parent Survey will be available from April 23rd through April 27th. We would like all parents to take 5 minutes to participate in this year's survey so that we may better serve the needs of our students.     Prom Information:

    Attention juniors and seniors: Prom tickets are now on sale until Wed, May 16th. The Prom will be held on May 19th at SPCC from 8pm -12pm. Prom tickets are 50.00 each. No tickets will be sold after May 16th. All early grads need to see Mr. Wilson for payment. Forms are located outside Dr. Vague’s room, Mr. Wilson’s room and Ms. Coffey’s rooms. Id will be required for admission to the prom.

    Graduation- Saturday, June 9th at 8 am in Redhawk Stadium

    Dress Code for Graduation Ceremony- 

    Ladies- Black or White dress or dress slacks, black or white dress shoes (no heels or flip-flops)

    Gentlemen- White button up dress shirt, black tie, black slacks, black dress socks,  black dress shoes. Attire must meet dress code policy.

    Tickets-  Each student automatically receives two tickets. They will earn two more tickets when/if they attend Senior Class Night. Additional tickets will go on sale on Friday, June 8th in guidance for $10/ticket. Families can purchase unlimited tickets.  In the event of rain- The graduation ceremony will be moved to the gym. Additional tickets will not be for sale due to capacity restrictions.

    The North Carolina Department of Public Instruction recently released school report cards reflecting school data from the 2016-2017 school year. A hardcopy snapshot of our school report card will be sent home with students .     Monroe High School operates on a traditional school calendar. Monroe High School's front office is open from 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. when school is in session and from 7:30 a.m -3:30 p.m. on teacher workdays.
