Mrs. Lashley was voted UCEC Teacher of the Year. She was chosen by her fellow teachers who all enjoy working with her. Mrs. Lashley has taught English at UCEC for 7 years, but has also taught at other UCPS schools, and in Florida. She absolutely loves Shakespeare, working with the best faculty/staff, and teaching the best students ever at UCEC. She is a great teacher who educates in such a way that you are left understanding the assignment inside and out. As one of her students shared, “she is one of the best English teachers I have ever had.”

  • UCEC's Union Power Grant Winner

Mr. Roncone, UCEC’s PE and health teacher, submitted a grant proposal to Union Power Cooperative. On November 28, a representative from the company presented this $2,000 grant to Mr. Roncone. The grant will allow UCEC to purchase equipment such as table tennis, air hockey, billiards, and bumper pool gaming tables for the Cyclone Shelter activity center on our campus. Allowing students the opportunity to bond with one another outside of the academic setting. Mr. Roncone tells us, “This is the fourth time a grant proposal which I have written was funded by the Union Power Cooperative on behalf of my students. Good writing skills are essential in today’s world.”

  • Grade Choice Form

The Grade Choice Form has been sent to students and asks for students and parents to complete to indicate their choice for each course grade (numeric or code) and submit that to the school for processing. Teachers have sent this form with more information to students to help with decision-making.  We stress that it is best for students to access this form on their computer and with their school credentials because the form requires verification of student account. Please let us know at school if you have questions, or would like to discuss options. UCEC Grade Choice Form
