Happy Wednesday Knights' Kingdom!
As a school, we participate in 2 fundraisers (Fall and Spring) a year where money earned goes straight to the school's funds to be used for special projects. We are kicking off our Fall Fundraiser tomorrow! Students will be bringing home an Order Taker envelope containing a copy of the Attractions Dining and Value Guide coupon book.
Attractions is a money-saving coupon book that will help your family save on just about everything. Each book sells for $20 and contains over $3800 in coupons. Our school earns 50% profit on each book! You will be able to purchase your book online and pay for your order with a credit card via attractionsbook.com/ezpay. Our EZPay code is KENSINGTONELEMENTARY.
We are raising money to build a STEAM lab to replace the computer lab at the front of the school. Our hope is that it will create a dynamic and engaging place for students to learn and explore as part of the specials rotation for all grades. We will be hiring a certified teacher to create the curriculum and teach the lessons for all students. If you know of any teachers who are crazy about science, technology, or engineering with kids, please have them e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our goal is to raise $20,000!
We are asking each family to consider supporting our students and school by buying one book and selling one book. Everybody likes to save money and with the Attractions book you will help your family save money and help support our school. Sales will end October 8th. Attractions books make a great gift for the holidays! ;-) Click HERE for Attractions book information.
Thank you for your support!
We are offering all kinds of enrichment opportunities, including golf, art, cooking, science, coding, and more for the Fall session. This is a great way to get your students involved and help them explore one of their interests! They begin next week, so I wanted to send a reminder if you have not signed your student up yet. The activities flyers can be found here: Enrichment Activities. Each flyer has directions for enrollment.
Let Me Run is a nonprofit wellness program that inspires boys to be themselves, be active, and belong. With a comprehensive curriculum that applies the power of running, the program encourages boys to develop their psychological, emotional and social health, in addition to their physical health. Twice a week for seven weeks, two trained volunteer coaches lead an elementary or middle school team through practice. Designed to amplify confidence, self-expression, and respect for others, each practice includes a lesson from the Let Me Run curriculum that incorporates running, games and activities. Each fall and spring season culminates in a 5k race festival that celebrates the boys’ personal growth.
Registration at Kensington Elementary is now open for Grades 4 & 5. The fall season starts on October 3, and meets Tuesdays and Thursdays for an hour and fifteen minutes (2-315pm), and ends with a 5k race on November 23.
