We are excited to introduce the book The 7 Habits of Happy Kids, by Sean Covey, to our students. The book is full of life long principles that will help prepare each student to be successful. Our goal is that our student will adopt these habits as their own and allow themselves to grow to their fullest potential.- Habit 1: Be proactive. You’re In charge.
- Habit 2: Begin with the end in mind. Have a plan.
- Habit 3: Put first things first. Work first then play.
- Habit 4: Think win-win. Everyone can win.
- Habit 5: Seek first to understand, then to be understood. Listen before you talk.
- Habit 6: Synergize. Together is better.
- Habit 7: Sharpen the saw. Balance feels best.

Elizabeth Pecora
I am excited to be the school counselor at Rea View Elementary. Prior to becoming a school counselor, I worked in the field of social work. I worked in this field for many years and spent much time working alongside children and families in need. I have always had a love of helping others, which led to my pursuit of a Master’s degree in School Counseling. I enjoy being part of the school community and look forward to working alongside the students and families of Rea View.
I have two children who attend UCPS schools and I am a member of the Waxhaw community. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and can be found running my kids to baseball practice or horseback riding lessons.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. Elizabeth.Pecora@ucps.k12.nc.us or (704) 290-1524.
