    Tom L Honeycutt, Media Coordinator

Tom Honeycutt comes to the staff of East Union Middle School as school media coordinator/librarian. A native of Union County and product of Sun Valley High, Mr. Honeycutt is glad to be back in his home county to serve the students, staff, and community of East Union.

Mr. Honeycutt holds an Associate Applied Science - Physical Therapy (PTA) degree from Stanly Community College, a Bachelor's in Music Education from Appalachian State University, and a Master's in Library Science also from Appalachian State University.  Prior to coming to EUMS, Mr. Honeycutt was a music teacher in Charlotte-Mecklenburg and Wilkes County Schools and has provided physical therapy for the geriatric population in several area nursing homes.  He feels that this strong, eclectic, and diverse educational background and life experience lend themselves to better serving the students and staff here at EUMS.

In addition to his duties at East Union, Mr. Honeycutt is also a church choir director and organist and still provides physical therapy treatments in area nursing homes on some weekends.  He lives in Indian Trail with his two miniature dachshunds, Charlie and Gracie, and loves to read, run, and travel when time allows.
