PTO

  • Hello and welcome to the New Salem Elementary PTO!  The mission of the New Salem PTO is to align resources to enrich the learning environment while empowering parents, teachers, and students to reach our goals of academic and life-skill success.  Our desire as a PTO is to exemplify integrity, teamwork and community while fostering productive, healthy partnerships with school teachers and administration staff.  We do this by providing financial support to our school, meaningful programs, and an enthusiastic group of volunteers!

With the help of our wonderful community, parents, New Salem staff, students and volunteers the PTO could provide items and participate in events such as:

    • Adding books and classroom materials, including reading areas for K-2
    • New playground equipment
    • Terrific Kid breakfast
    • 5th Grade Graduation refreshments and decorations
    • Assist with funding field trips
    • T-shirts for Battle of the Book
    • Purchased Angel Tree – Wish items
    • Helped fund drama programs
    • Meals for teacher appreciation
    • Mother & Son Knight
    • Father & Daughter Dance

For 2018-2019 our mission is to update and replace gym equipment and add art supplies to encourage physical activity and creativity.  The New Salem PTO promotes fundraisers throughout the year to assist with ongoing events and projects.  We will kick-off the year with Bingo Knight on September 14th at 6:30 pm in the New Salem Cafeteria.  This is a family activity full of fun, school spirit and prizes! This year we are hoping to bring back the loved New Salem BBQ!  Yes, you are reading correctly (more details to come)!
