Rock Rest Elementary School is located in Monroe, NC and is one of 28 elementary schools in Union County Public Schools School District. It is a public school that serves 450 students

in grades PK, K-5.

The mission of Rock Rest Elementary School is to create a safe academic environment that will prepare students for a successful future in a global society. This is promoted through the use of research-based instructional practices, technology infusion in daily lesson presentations, integration of core subject area concepts in special area class instruction, and a variety of enrichment activities, which include band, Girls on the Run, ExCel2Fitness and small group tutoring sessions. Currently, Rock Rest Elementary School has approximately 18 students for every full-time equivalent teacher. There are also a variety of certified support teachers in place to provide opportunities for differentiated instruction..
