We quite frequently hear Marvin Ridge parents saying, “Let me know if I can help in any way at the school.” Now is the time when we need you and will take you up on that offer, folks! We are in need of volunteer proctors and hall monitors for end of year testing.
We really need you to do this! If you can commit to just one morning…great! If you can commit to multiple mornings…even better! The bottom line is that this is an “all hands on deck” need. We thank you in advance for signing up for at least one of the many necessary volunteer slots. You’ll find the details of testing and sign-up below. Please contact MRMS assistant principal and testing coordinator, Mrs. Marni Menkin (email@example.com), with any questions.

Building An Outdoor Classroom, The Butterfly Project!
We are looking for sponsors to help us reach our goal for Phase 2! Our goal is to raise $15,000 to pay and install our steel frame butterfly. Bob Doster, our artist, has hand designed a unique butterfly memorial just for us. The very same artist that created the globe for the high school students at the main entrance. Once we have our funds, the memorial will be installed, the butterflies riveted on and the reminder for acceptance of all will stand.
Phase 2 is a large steel butterfly that will be placed on a concrete pad in the grassy area in front of our school. Each year the students will now paint a metal butterfly that will be adhered to this monument. This will be our own memorial that will grow each year showing our commitment to tolerance and acceptance of all. Click here to learn more!
During the month of February, the students at Marvin Ridge Middle school took part in a Global Event in honor of this year’s Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea. Each Related Art class selected a country they wanted to explore. A team from each class studied many different aspects of that country, and created a presentation to share with the other Related Arts classes as the first event of the Olympics.
The Marvin Ridge Middle School Drama Club always has a great time working on productions! To make each production successful, actors and crew members work together, putting in long hours of tech and rehearsal to make each show come to life. With every production, students learn new skills, such as teamwork, public speaking, leadership, and the ability to improvise.
The Marvin Ridge Middle School PTSO is a charitable organization dedicated to enhancing the education experience for all students, supporting the school staff, and administration, and improving communication between the school and our parents. The PTSO is run by a group of dedicated parent volunteers who give their time and talents to serve our Marvin Ridge Middle School community. The PTSO has been able to do some incredible things to enhance the safety, education, and well-being of students and staff over the past several years.
