  • Student Council is looking for outgoing students that are comfortable speaking up, that are hard working, and that have a good understanding of your classmates interests. 6th & 7th graders that are interested in student council for next year need to attend an application interest meeting. The application meeting options are this Wednesday 4/17 before school at 7:45 am, Wednesday 4/17 after school until 4:45, Wednesday 5/1 after school until 4:45, Friday 5/2 before school at 7:45, or Friday 5/3 after school until 4:45. You only need to attend one application interest meeting. The meetings will be held in Mrs. Hansen's room F110 in the downstairs 7th grade hallway. You are required to attend a meeting to get an application and MUST be on time.  Please also save Saturday, May 11th for interviews, which will be discussed further at your application meeting.

    Parents interested in registering their email address to receive emails regarding the 2019 Marvin Ridge DC Trip please use the email registration form. The trip is scheduled for March 13-16, 2019.

  • The county has begun to use a program called Naviance.  Naviance is a comprehensive college and career readiness solution that helps students align strengths and interests to postsecondary goals, improving student outcomes and connecting learning to life. Naviance can be accessed on our MRMS webpage under the  Parents section and the UCPS Mobile App. You will need to stop by the front office with your ID to receive your parent code for access to this program. Should you have questions please contact your student’s grade level counselor or administration.

  • 2019 UCPS Parent Survey

    UCPS has extended the deadline for the Parent Survey. The survey will remain open until April 26. We encourage you to participate and share your feedback through an anonymous format that will be used to improve our teaching and learning practices and the overall UCPS experience for families. No personally identifiable information pertaining to you or your student will be collected.  For your convenience, the survey can be taken through a mobile device and it is compatible with all operating systems. We appreciate your time and cooperation.

  • Thanking our first responders

    The anniversary of 9/11 this year overlapped with a tragedy our community was facing, storm Florence. When Ms. Cudmore shared some of her memories of 2001 with her students this year, she reminded them that like those first responders who helped so many people 17 years ago, first responders would also soon be working hard here to assist before, during and after hurricane Florence.

    Seventh grade students participated in a Book Tasting that allowed them to find books that interested them and provided them with opportunities to explore text they may not usually gravitate toward.
