School History and Community Info

  • Marvin Ridge Middle School opened its doors for the first time in the 2006-2007 school year. The school sits on the Marvin Ridge campus which also includes Marvin Ridge High School. The campus is located in picturesque Waxhaw, North Carolina, where rural farmlands meet tastefully-done development of homes and neighborhoods. Over the past decade, Marvin Ridge Middle School has turned out some of the best and brightest students in the state of North Carolina and in the United States. The school has been consistently recognized as a North Carolina Honor School of Excellence and has attained the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction’s highest school ratings. Maverick athletic teams, academic clubs, and musical groups have achieved numerous recognitions and awards for distinguished performance. Marvin Ridge students, parents, and staff members take pride in the tradition of excellence that has been established at the school over the years and take seriously the responsibility to uphold and continue that tradition. We encourage you to visit our school to get a feel for the Maverick Way!
