     Health Sciences Academy at Monroe Middle School is located in Monroe, North Carolina and is one of nine middle schools in Union County Public Schools. We serve approximately 900 students in grades 6-8.

    • Elementary Feeder Schools: East Elementary, Benton Heights Elementary, Walter Bickett Elementary, Rocky River Elementary, Rock Rest Elementary.

      

     

    HSA@MMS students have 4 classes in a day; 3 of them are Core (Math, Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies alternating); 1 is Encore (Ex. Physical Education, Art, CTE Courses, Medical Investigators, Dual Language - Spanish, etc.). Core classes are 75 minutes in length and Encore classes are 45 minutes in length. Depending on the grade level, rotation, and specific Encore class, Encore classes are either on an A/B-day schedule, for a year-long, semester-long, or 6-weeks in length.
