Union County Public Schools (UCPS) is seeking to hire for positions in transportation, facilities, school nutrition and substitute teachers. The district will host a career fair Wednesday, March 1, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Transportation Center, 3319 Goldmine Rd. Monroe, NC 28110. The fair is a great opportunity to ask questions, meet current employees and apply for positions. There will be onsite interviews and application support.

Starting salaries for some positions have increased. The starting salary for bus drivers is $17.29 per hour, up to $18.50 per hour including incentives. Custodian positions start at $15.60 per hour and school nutrition assistants can start at $15.49 per hour.
