Union County Board of Education seeks 2024 school construction bond
At its April 11 meeting, the Union County Board of Education approved a resolution to request that the Union County Board of County Commissioners present a school construction bond referendum on the November 2024 General Election ballot.
The bond request is for two projects and the total requested amount is $39,421,448.
Proposed 2024 bond projects:
- Design for a Parkwood High replacement project - $10,705,804
- Construction to repurpose the existing Forest Hills High for the planned relocation of East Union Middle - $27,567,447
- Program contingency/management - $1,148,197
