Dear East Elementary Parents,

We provide regular updates to you about your student’s academic progress by sending home report cards, progress reports, and meeting with parents for conferences.  In addition, we provide you with yearly updates on our school’s achievements through the North Carolina School Report Card. 

The NC School Report Card includes important information about school and student performance, class sizes, attendance, school safety, instructional resources, and teacher quality. There is also information about the target goals met with the federal Annual Measurable Objectives (AMOs), as well as information on school safety and access to technology. Report data is available for our school district and for the state’s education system as a whole.

We have already begun implementing instructional shifts in grades K-5 to increase proficiency and will closely monitor the impact of instruction and classroom level intervention on student performance so we can meet our 2022-2023 School Improvement Goals.  However, these results do not reflect the whole story of EES as a school.  Our dedicated team provides both a safe and healthy learning environment as well as research based instructional models and practices.  To support our commitment to Social Emotional Learning, we currently have a team in place to support teachers and students. We have in-house resources coupled with district and on site professional development opportunities to support our teachers with enhancing instructional practices.  We also have excellent community partners who continue to support us with our school improvement efforts.
