Welcome to the Media Center at Benton Heights!

    • Hours

    Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

    Mission

The goal of the Benton Heights Media Center is to promote lifelong learning through a love of reading and exploring.  We provide a wide range of age-appropriate materials and books in a safe and welcoming environment.

    Policies

Students come to the media center on a six day rotation.  Kindergarten and first-grade students are allowed to check out one book at a time.  Second and third-grade students can check out two books at a time.  Fourth and fifth-grade students can check out up to three books.  Students can keep their books for two weeks.

We do not charge late fees for overdue books.  Students are expected to take good care of all library materials.  Fees are assessed for lost or damaged books.  If a book is lost or damaged, a note will be sent home to the parents to inform them of the lost or damaged item and the replacement cost.

    Rules

In the media center, all students are expected to:

    1. Be safe
    2. Be respectful
    3. Be responsible
    4. Follow directions
