Tracey Kerstetter (Principal)
About Ms. Kerstetter
Tracey Kerstetter is excited to be with the Sandy Ridge community again since 2020. She began her teaching career in Las Vegas, Nevada, at Elise L. Wolff Elementary School, where she taught both Kindergarten and second grade. In 2006, she relocated to North Carolina with her daughter, Meagan, and took a teaching position at Sandy Ridge Elementary. During her tenure there, Tracey taught 3rd and 4th grades, took on various leadership responsibilities, and organized numerous community events. Her work was recognized when she was named Teacher of the Year for the 2009-2010 school year at Sandy Ridge. Additionally, she led multiple training sessions in science, technology, and math throughout Union County.
After several years of classroom experience, Tracey pursued further education in Educational Leadership at Wingate University. This academic progress led her to serve as an Instructional Content Facilitator for the county, where she provided coaching and instructional support to teachers across grades K-5. Subsequently, she transitioned to Cuthbertson Middle School, where she served as Assistant Principal from 2017 to 2020.
Outside of her professional commitments, Tracey enjoys traveling, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and creating lasting memories with her family, friends, and her dogs, Avett and Deacon.
