Dr. Angela E. Foster (Principal)
About Dr. Foster
Dr. Angela Foster is originally from Lake City, South Carolina where she graduated from the Florence School District #3 public school system. She earned her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from the University of South Carolina system in 2001 and a Master's Degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education with an endorsement in Gifted Education from Converse College in 2005. In 2013, she earned a Master's Level Certification in School Administration from Wingate University and completed the doctoral program at Wingate University in 2021 earning an education specialist degree and a doctorate in educational leadership.
Dr. Foster was named a UCPS Top 10 - 2022-2023 Principal of the Year Finalist and the Union County Public School’s Assistant Principal of the Year for the 2019-2020 school year. She is entering her 23rd year in education and is honored to serve as the principal of Health Sciences Academy at Monroe Middle School. She previously taught for 12 years as an elementary school teacher in grades three through five and served as a middle school assistant principal at East Union Middle School and Monroe Middle School.
Dr. Foster resides in Union County and has three daughters, a grandson, and a granddaughter. Her two youngest daughters graduated from Piedmont High School in 2020 and 2018, while her oldest daughter graduated from Weddington High School in 2010. Away from work, she enjoys traveling, attending Carolina Panthers games, spending quality time with family and friends, and supporting her high school alumni association.
Dr. Foster is fully invested and continues to have a deep commitment to the students, families, staff, and members of the Monroe community. She continues to look forward to the many positive and rewarding years to come and strives to develop and grow all students while forming positive partnerships with families and the community to support students on their paths to success and being college and career-ready.

Sheila Levesque (6th Grade Assistant Principal)
About Mrs. Levesque
Ms. Levesque is a native of Boston, Massachusetts and is thrilled to join the Health Science Academy at Monroe Middle School. Ms. Levesque received her Master of Education degree from Cambridge College in Massachusetts and her Educational Leadership degree from Wingate University. Ms. Levesque began her career with UCPS in 2007, as a teacher and then in 2008, moving into an administrative role until 2015. In 2015, Ms. Levesque moved into a principal role for another district and became a part-time adjunct professor at Belmont Abbey College. Ms. Levesque is thrilled to return home to where her administration career began.
Ms. Levesque believes in being “Better Together” and looks forward to building relationships with students, parents, community, and all stakeholders.
Ms. Levesque lives in Waxhaw with her family. Her daughters graduated from Union County Public Schools, attended and graduated from Appalachian State University (cum laude) and University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (magna cum laude). She is a football fan (Go Pats!), a baseball fan (Go Red Sox!) and loves the Charlotte Checkers and Boston Bruins. She enjoys baking, traveling, going to the movies and spending time with her family.

Geydis Guadalupe (7th Grade Assistant Principal)
About Mrs. Guadalupe
Mrs. Guadalupe was born in the heart of Cuba. At the age of seven, her family set sail for the United States, seeking new opportunities and a brighter future. Growing up in Orlando, Florida, she quickly adapted to her new surroundings and school became a place of fascination and learning, where she discovered her passion for education and helping others succeed.
Mrs. Guadalupe earned her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Central Florida. After completing her education, she embarked on her career as an educator, starting as a dedicated second-grade teacher. Her commitment to nurturing young minds and fostering a love for learning quickly became evident. She decided to pursue her graduate studies earning a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Stetson University in 2017. Her journey in education took her through various roles, each one building upon her experiences and expertise. She has served as an Instructional Coach, MTSS Coach, Testing Coordinator, ESOL Compliance Specialist, and a Culture Coach.
Mrs. Guadalupe along with her husband and their two daughters fell in love with North Carolina's natural beauty and relocated to Union County from Florida in 2022. Family is at the center of her world, and she cherishes the moments spent together, whether exploring nature trails, enjoying outdoor adventures, or simply sharing laughter and stories at home.
Mrs. Guadalupe believes strongly in the transformative power of hard work, resilience, and the influence of positive role models and she looks forward to fostering strong relationships with students, staff, and parents to create a supportive and thriving school community.

Trena Marshall (8th Grade Assistant Principal)
About Ms. Marshall
Ms. Marshall is a Bronx, New York native and has over 20 years of educational experience. She received her Master of Education at Hofstra University in New York and began studies in Educational Leadership soon after at Massachussetts College of Liberal Arts in North Adams, Massachussetts. In 2006, she relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina and joined the Union County Public School team. Ms. Marshall spent 15 years as a Piedmont Middle School Panther, teaching Health and Physical Education. In an effort to advance her career, she continued her goal in becoming an administrator by completing an add-on Educational Leadership Licensure program at Wingate University in 2018. In 2021, she was excited to become a “Redhawk,” joining the Health Science Academy at Monroe Middle School as an assistant principal. Let’s Go Redhawks!
In her spare time Ms. Marshall loves spending time with her family, her beautiful mother of much wisdom, her son Javon and her daughter Bria. She will be remiss not to mention her sweet loving shih tzu named Candy. Ms. Marshall also loves to travel, meditate, watching a good movie and enjoys experiencing cuisine from different restaurants.
