About Our School

  • Unionville Elementary serves pre-kindergarten through fifth-grade students and is located in Monroe. Our school has one of the longest-running Spanish immersion programs in Union County. Unionville is also a North Carolina Model World School that offers first through fifth-grade students a global studies class.

All students in grades 1-5 participate in global studies classes during their C-SPAM rotation. Additionally, parents may choose to enroll their children in the Spanish Immersion program which began here in 2013. Students enter the Spanish Immersion program in kindergarten and remain in these classes throughout elementary school. Unionville also has international teachers who teach in both English and Spanish. These teachers are provided through a partnership with Participate Corporation of Chapel Hill, NC.
