  • Attention current 7th and 8th graders:  Do you enjoy dance and choreography?  The high school marching band colorguard squad may be a good fit for you!  This is the group that utilizes dance and flag choreography to compliment the music during the marching band show.  No experience is necessary.  Training will take place on May 1st, 6th, 7th, 13th, and 14th in the high school bandroom, located beside the main high school student parking lot.  Students selected will become part of the marching band and participate in varsity football games and local parades and marching band competitions this coming fall. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes to move and dance in, and come with a great attitude and willingness to try something new. Additional information can be found by visiting www.SunValleyBands.org or contacting Mr. Reynolds at jeff.reynolds@ucps.k12.nc.us  Training and tryouts are open to any student who will be in 8th grade through 12th next year at Sun Valley Middle or High School.
