Group counseling is offered throughout the school year to assist students to reach their full potential, both personally and academically. Groups are usually six to eight sessions that meet weekly/biweekly. Group topics are chosen based on need. Students are considered for group participation based on parent request and teacher/administrator recommendations. Small groups are a direct service offered to students to help reinforce skills that will support their academic, career, and social/emotional developmental. Some group counseling topics include: self-esteem, social skills, study skills, anger management, friendship, and divorce/changing families.
