Committed to our Students
-
The faculty and administration of Wesley Chapel Elementary School are committed to meeting our students' needs and making a difference in their lives. To strengthen and enhance our academic program and overall student growth, Wesley Chapel focuses in growing leaders through problem-solving with STEAM. This allows our students to use Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics as access points for guiding student inquiry, dialogue, and critical thinking. The end results are students who take thoughtful risks, engage in experimental learning, persist in problem-solving, embrace collaboration, and work through the creative process.
Our students expand their horizons by participating in our extensive school enrichment programs. Young Authors' Day, STEAM classes and events, and grade-level educational field trips are just a few of these programs. Our after-school clubs include the Wesley Chapel After-School Enrichment Program (WASEP), Rugby, Girls on the Run, Xcel 2 Fitness, Good News Club, Yearbook Club, Battle of the Books, and Student Council. We believe that these activities encourage the maintenance of life-long learning skills and health and wellness in our students. Students are recognized for individual growth and success through the Terrific Kids program, Honor Roll recognitions, the Spelling Bee, STEAM Challenge, positive office and bus referrals, an annual Academic Achievement Awards ceremony, and various other enrichment activities.
Our strong Parent/Teacher Organization is actively involved in the life of our school and makes Wesley Chapel Elementary a better place to learn, grow, and thrive. They host multiple spirit nights, provide special recognition through awards and other activities, lead fundraising efforts, run the school store, organize parent/student events, help fund instructional materials, and provide teacher celebrations and appreciation.
