    Rebel Clef has a short rehearsal this Thursday, October 25. Rehearsal Thursday will end at 4:15. All other Rebel Clef rehearsals this fall will end at 5:30pm.

    YCI will meet this Friday at 7:30am in the media center. They meet every Friday.

    If you are interested in Winter Cheerleading, we will be having a mandatory cheer clinic October 24th from 4:30-6:30 in the Student Center. Please have all your paperwork completed prior to the clinic. If you need the paperwork or have any questions come see Mrs. Bristow.

  • Mental Health Discussion 

    UCPS is partnering with Novant Health for an event to discuss mental health on October 24 at Marvin High School. We will show the film Resilience and have a panel discussion with UCPS staff and physicians from Novant. This event is open to our entire community. Click here to register.

    Save the Date! Powderpuff bowl is October 24th at 6:30 pm at the PWHS Football Stadium. Parkwood Versus Cutty, $3 admission, or $1 if you bring a gently used book. All proceeds go to the Union County Book Mobile!

  • Choral Concert

    Please join us for the first choral concert of the year on Thursday, October 25. The concert is free and begins at 7:30pm. Ladies' Chorus, Chamber Women's Choir and Chamber Choir will be performing songs in a variety of genres, including contemporary choral music, gospel, a spiritual, and folk songs from Ghana and from America as well as a song from the movie Moana. Contrary to popular belief, we don't just sing music by dead white guys.

    Dee-licious BBQ plates and 1lb containers will be available Saturday, October 27 at 11am at the Waxhaw American Legion Hall. You can dine or or take out. Tickets can be purchased for $10 from JROTC cadets or from at varsity football games. Please support our cadets!

  • Driver's Ed

    The final exam for the October Driver's Ed class is November 8th in the media center at 3:30. You must bring a pencil, birth certificate, 800 form, parent letter, and proof that you passed the modules. If you do not bring these items you will not be allowed to test. The makeup test is for make ups only. It will be held Friday, November 9 at 3:30 in the media center. All required forms must be filled out completely and signed otherwise they will not be accepted by the DMV.

  • Attention all 10th-12th graders - Sign up for the ASVAB

    Do you need help with deciding what you want to do for a career? The Military is offering a free career exploration test that will not only ask you about your interests but also will test your skills as well. This tests lasts approximately 3 hours and will be given during the school day. When your results come in, you will be given information to help guide you in your career selection process. This test will be offered at Parkwood in the media center on Thursday, November 29th starting at 8:15 am. If you are interested in taking this test please complete the google form by Tuesday, November 27th. You can register on the main Parkwood High School webpage, or go to or see Ms. Bartell in guidance.
