Career and College Promise
-
The Career and College Promise Program (CCP) allows qualifying high school students to enroll in community college pathway courses at South Piedmont Community College (SPCC) while attending their home school as a part of the traditional school day. The goal of the program is to provide students with the appropriate college options based on their personal desires, whether it be to continue on to an associate’s degree, complete introductory college courses, or prepare to enter the workforce.
Students must be capable of completing college-level work, as well as continue to meet requirements to maintain concurrent enrollment. Students must adhere to all course requirements and examinations required by the instructor or institution and all other eligibility criteria outlined in the North Carolina Comprehensive Articulation Agreement (CAA). Any student interested in applying for this program should contact his/her counselor for more information.
Please Note: The Career and College Promise Program is NOT connected to Union County Early College.

CCP Textbook Reimbursement Process - 2024/2025 School Year
SPCC has moved to a digital ebook platform, called BibliU, and all textbooks will be accessed through Canvas. Students have begun to receive bills from SPCC. This bill is for the ebooks not the physical course. The ebooks for most courses will be $60; however, some courses will require an additional lab/required fee and can range based on the course. UCPS reimburses students $50 per course. First, make sure the SPCC fee has been paid - instructions on downloading the SPCC fee statement will be provided on the reimbursement form. CCP Textbook reimbursement form is electronic and will be made available in the middle of each term. Reimbursement forms are available and due in the middle of each term.
Once the final due date has passed, all reimbursements will be processed and delivered back to individual high schools. The bookkeeper at each high school begins his/her processing procedure and then mails out checks to students. Students typically receive checks about four weeks from the final due date but it can be up to ten weeks based on the number of students at the school. The biggest things to remember:
- Pay the SPCC bill.
- Participate in your class - students that are not enrolled at the time of processing will not have their reimbursements approved.
- Submit a textbook reimbursement form and attach the receipt by the due date. *Reimbursements are not accepted after the due date!*
- Students need to check their SPCC and UCPS email account. *If there are any issues with reimbursement forms, Mr. Williams will send an email, so it can be fixed.*
- Please be patient. *This process takes a while, but reimbursements are coming 😊*
