Thank you for your interest in learning about North Carolina’s school accountability program.  At Weddington Elementary School, we are committed to high levels of learning for all students and continuous growth as a school community. North Carolina updates parents once a year through the North Carolina School Report Card. This Report Card includes important information about school and student performance, class sizes, attendance, school safety, instructional resources, and teacher quality.

Our teachers and staff at Weddington Elementary School empower our students to own their learning-- to make connections, to collaborate, and to create meaningful expressions of their understanding. Curriculum and instruction is enriched through Dual Language Immersion, STEAM, Art, and Music. At Weddington Elementary, we celebrate our students who exemplify the attributes of a UCPS “Portrait of a Graduate”-- innovative leader, resilient problem-solver, key contributor, effective communicator, and skilled collaborator. Our student leadership programs include Wildcats at Work- a service-based team, as well as Safety Patrol and Broadcast Team. 

We strive to provide a school community that is safe, inclusive, and responsive to our students. Your support as parents, families, volunteers, and our PTO is vital to this success.
