• New Family Tours and Kindergarten Registration

    Come see your new school!  Tours of our school are given on Tuesdays at 3 pm.  Available dates are Feb 6, Feb 20, March 6, and March 20.  Click here, to schedule a tour. 

    Kindergarten Registration Packets are available now in the office.  You can print the enrollment packet here.  

    Dual Language Information meeting is on Feb 13 at 5:30 pm.  Click here for more info on our Dual Language program.

    Kindergarten Orientation is May 15 at 6:00 pm.

    If your child will not be at school, please click here to send an e mail to our Data Manager.  Please include your child's name, teacher name, date of absence(s) and reason for absence.  Our Data Manager will notify you when she receives your e-mail.  If you send an e mail, you do not need to send a hand written note.

    All afternoon transportation changes must be communicated in writing.  You can choose one of the following written methods of communication:

    • Send a note with your child the day of the transportation change (this is the most preferred method)

    In case of emergency and you did not send a note, you can:

    • Send a fax to 704 843 9019
    • Send an e mail to Carrie Johnson (
    • Bring us a written note before you get in the car rider line.

    All changes must be received before 1:30 pm.

    For your child’s safety, exceptions will NOT be made.

  • Who is Martin Luther King, Jr?

    On January 15, 2018, our nation will celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. birthday. It would have been his 89th birthday. Martin Luther King Jr. was the first man to try and unite blacks and whites in our country to give them universal civil rights. Martin Luther King Jr. entered Morehouse College at the age of 15, then Crozer Theological Seminary and finally to Boston University for his doctorate’s degree.

  • Second Grade Digs Deeper into Sound

    From November 29th – December 1st the students in second grade were able to participate in an in house field trip for sound. The students had previously learned about sound earlier in the year, so they enjoyed digging deeper and getting to put what they know about sound into creating various objects.

  • Eagle Chorus Shines at the Artists Music Guild Heritage Awards

    The 4th and 5th Grade Eagle Chorus members had the opportunity of a lifetime when they performed at the Artists Music Guild Heritage Awards on Saturday, November 11th, 2017. Prior to the awards ceremony, the students rehearsed after school in preparation for the big event. Mrs. Reese, our Music teacher, and Mrs. Popp, a Western Union Elementary parent, co-directed the rehearsals and coached the students.
