    Daily announcements are available using several communication channels:
    1. Announcements are posted here on this page.
    2. Announcements are read over the PA in the office.
    3. Announcements are posted daily to the CATA website homepage.
    4. Some announcements will be posted to the CATA Facebook and Twitter pages.
    5. All announcements need to be approved by administration before they are posted.
     
     
    General Announcements:
    • Super Smash Bros images Super Smash Bros Tournament
      Our second Smash Brothers tournament will be held on Friday, March 29 from 5pm until 8pm. Tickets are $10 each and pizza and drinks are included. The Melee and 64 versions will be available for casual play. You may preorder tickets from Mr. Bryan in room 217 this week or buy them during lunch next week.





    • Hey Seniors! The Annual Senior Field Trip will be at the US National Whitewater Center. It is on Friday, May 24th and the cost is $75. Permission slips and waiver forms are available in the front office. Money, permission slips, and waiver forms are due to Ms. Bivens by Wednesday, April 17. Contact Ms. Royster if you have any questions.

    • CATA Cougar Spirit Wear is now available.  Please stop by during one of their sale events (dates are posted on Facebook) or contact catabandspiritwear@gmail.com. You can now order from the new CATA Cougar online store.
    • Yearbooks
      Have you purchased a yearbook yet? Yearbooks are now $85.00. You can order online at https://yearbookforever.com/ (search for CATA) or send a check (made payable to CATA) or cash to Ms. Christensen at school. The yearbook staff is hard at work designing another fabulous book.

    • Math Tutoring will be provided by Mr. Broome every Monday from 3:30-4:30 in room 519 in the maze. 


    Student Life Organizations:
    • CATA's Got Talent poster NHS Talent Show
      Who's got talent? CATA's Got Talent! It's nearly time to audition for the annual NHS Talent Show. Auditions will be April 3rd, 4th, and 5th after school in the Den Conference Room. Sign up here to audition. We are looking for a variety of talent. Show us what you've got! The talent show will be held on Tuesday, April 16th at 6:30 pm.

    • Rock of Ages 80's Preview Party 
      Come on and feel the noise as you will be the first audience for this rockin' show!

      Purchase tickets now for our Wednesday night '80's Preview Celebration! The event will be a totally awesome '80's night, where we will invite guests to dress in '80's clothes, dance it up with a DJ and even sing karaoke to '80's rock songs. There may even be prizes for the best costume and karaoke performance!

      The admission price will include hors d'oeuvres, soft drinks, a "Rock of Ages" souvenir, DJ, and admission to the Wednesday night performance, along with a complimentary ticket to another Rock of Ages performance!

      Single Tickets are $30 or get two for $50! Tickets are on sale at cata.seatyourself.biz.

    • Rock of Ages Performances
      Come watch the talent of Central Academy of Technology & Arts in their Spring Musical, Rock of Ages!
      Rock of Ages tells the story of Drew, a city-boy from South Detroit and Sherrie, a small-town girl, both in L.A. to chase their dreams of making it big and falling in love. Rock of Ages takes you back to the times of big bands with big egos playing big guitar solos and sporting even bigger hair!
      Performances will be on April 11 and 12 at 7:00, and April 13 at 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm. Tickets are $10. Tickets are on sale at cata.seatyourself.biz

    Other: 
    • Class of 2019 Graduation will be held on Sunday, June 9th at 2:00 at the Winthrop Coliseum. Tickets will be on sale in the CATA main office before or after school and online from May 6th - June 5th. Each graduate will receive FOUR free tickets after graduation rehearsal but extra tickets can be purchased for $10.00. Tickets will also be sold at the door at graduation. 

    • The 2019 Prom will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2019 from 8:00 pm - midnight at Rolling Hills Country Club
