    The admissions process for the 2019-2020 school year for 9th and 10th graders is completed.

  • Class of 2020 Senior Package Information
    The CATA PTSO is offering senior packages this year. The PTSO Senior Events Committee is planning BONUS activities to make CLASS OF 2020 a year of special memories. Activities may include ice cream social, dessert bar, other random surprise events during school day. Entrance into these particular BONUS Senior Events require a Senior Pass which can be purchased in one of the following packages described on the order form. All orders can be placed online at www.cataptso.org EXCEPT if you are only wishing to purchase a senior shirt and sign combo package or just a shirt or sign. Those orders must be paid for by cash or check (made out to CATA PTSO) at the school. You can drop off order forms for the shirt and sign in the guidance office. See the order form here.

  • Summer Office Hours:

    From June 10th-August 9th the main office will be open Monday-Thursday from 8:00am-4:00pm. The school will be closed on July 4th. Normal hours will resume on August 12th.

  • Register to Volunteer in UCPS Schools
    The district has a new volunteer registration process. If you'd like to volunteer in any of the UCPS schools you must complete the volunteer registration form located at https://www.ucpsvolunteers.com. This even applies to people who had registered in previous years.

    On May 19, CATA senior Sayo Oni was named Best Actor at the Blumey Awards, the prestigious music and theatre arts competition for high school performing arts students.. Building on the lessons learned and experience gained while at CATA, he's planning to attend the highly competitive and prestigious music theatre program at Elon University this fall. After that, Sayo is setting his sights on Broadway.

    The Hands Helping Others and Beta Clubs participated in the “Relay for Life” last week for the CATA Lifesavers. The “Relay for Life” is an event that collects money for cancer research through fundraising.

  • CATA Presents A Raisin in the Sun

    This year at Central Academy of Technology & Arts, students from the theatre department will come together to perform A Raisin in the Sun by Lorraine Hansberry. The production will feature CATA’s first ever theatrical partnership with a local Union County elementary as the character of Travis in A Raisin in the Sun will be played by Malik Logan, a 5th grader from nearby Benton Heights.
