PTSO News
The CABC and CHS PTSO are excited to share some great news. Thanks to the hard work and support of our Cuthbertson community, we successfully raised $38,857.34 for the new Cavalier scoreboard!
We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to this important project - whether through donations, volunteering, purchasing basket tickets or spreading the word.
Your support has been instrumental in making this project a reality and we couldn't have done without you.
BUT we're not done yet. Your fundraising team of volunteers has some great ideas to raise additional funds and would LOVE it if our community continued to send support so we can reach our goal.
We believe the new scoreboard will not only enhance the experience for our students, athletes and fans, but also serve as a symbol of our community's commitment to investing in our future and a testament to what we can accomplish when we come together towards a common goal.
THANK YOU again for your unwavering support and for making a difference in our community.

Teacher of the Year
Congratulations to Jennifer Mitchell, Cuthbertson’s 2022-2023 Teacher of the Year!
Creative Writing Class
The Creative Writing class have produced some flash horror fiction – this is a super short, creepy story that is under 130 words. It is displayed in the media center on top of the center bookshelves, and we’d love for the students to come down and check out their work. We have a form where they can vote for their favorite and offer the authors some encouragement. Please encourage your students to read and vote! The display will be up until Monday.

Nurse News
Important message for 12th grade students regarding the Meningitis C vaccination requirement. The first dose of Meningococcal vaccine (MCV) was given to this year’s Senior’s prior to the start of 7th grade as a school required vaccine. North Carolina Immunization Law requires the second dose of MCV for all 12th grade students. If your child does not currently have evidence of the MCV vaccine, please contact your child’s health care provider to obtain it. Following administration of the vaccine, please submit a copy of the record to our School Nurse through the Front Office. This documentation must be obtained within 30 days of the start of the 2022-23 school year to meet the school enrollment requirement. Individuals born before 1/1/2003 are exempt from this requirement. Thank you for your timely attention to this matter. If you have any questions, our School Nurse Amy Haislip will certainly be available to you as a resource. Please contact her at 704-296-0105
