  • The Best Buddies Club will hold an interest meeting on Thursday, September 4th, in Room E124. Students may attend either before school at 7:30 a.m. or after school at 3:05 p.m.

  • CHS DECA will hold it's first INFORMATIONAL MEETING of the school year on THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 4TH at 7:30 am in G211 AND the MEDIA CENTER from 3:15 pm to 3:45 pm. Prospective and returning members will need to attend one of the meetings. We look forward to seeing those who want to be a part of this DYNAMIC and REWARDING CLUB!

    Subject: Updated Chromebook Distribution Information

    We apologize for the confusion caused by our previous email — it was scheduled prior to last week's cancellation and did not reflect the most recent updates.

    Please note: There will NOT be any Chromebook distribution during Open House.

    Please see below for the most up-to-date information regarding Chromebook distribution:

    Date: Thursday, August 21
    Time: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM

    Any Chromebooks not distributed during this time will be provided once school resumes.

    Chromebook Distribution Instructions

    To receive your device, the $30 technology fee must be paid and the technology agreement form must be signed by both the parent and student. Devices will not be issued without both items completed.

     

    Accessing your Student Account with Infinite Campus

    1. Chromebook Pick-Up Instructions
    2. Log in to your Infinite Campus account.
    3. Under “Unpaid Fees”, follow the instructions to pay the $30 technology fee. A receipt will be sent to the email entered in the payment section.
    4. Print and complete the Technology Student/Parent Agreement form found here. This form must be signed by both the parent and student.
    5. Bring the signed form and either a screenshot of your payment confirmation or a copy of your receipt to the appropriate pickup day listed below.

     

    Students are not permitted to pick up Chromebooks assigned to other students.

     

    ** SPCC students who have received their Chromebooks will also need to complete the steps above prior to August 31st in order to prevent their Chromebooks from being disabled.**

  • Current 12th graders please see below.

    We would like to inform you of the North Carolina Immunization Rules and Laws. A second dose of Meningococcal conjugate vaccine is required for students attending school in North Carolina who are entering the 12th grade. For complete details and explanations, please review the website https://immunize.nc.gov/schools/ncruleslaws.htm for NC general statutes 130A-157.

    The meningococcal B vaccine does not count as part of the requirement. Please review your child’s immunization record to see if the second vaccine dose has been given. There will be a total of two (2) doses. If not, make an appointment with your primary care provider to have this done as soon as possible. You may also make an appointment with the Union County Health Department at 704-296-4800 for your child to obtain the required vaccine.

    If your child has had the second meningococcal conjugate vaccine, please make sure you send a copy of their immunization record to the school nurse. Upon completion of the vaccines, please provide your school with a copy of your child’s updated immunization record. Students who remain non-compliant with this requirement after 30 days from the start of the school year are to be excluded from school.

    If you have questions or concerns regarding this requirement, please consult with your health care provider. You may also contact your school nurse.
