Jeffery Stout (Principal)
About Mr. Stout
Mr. Jeffery Stout is extremely excited to serve as Principal for Cuthbertson High School. Prior to coming to Cuthbertson, Mr. Stout served as Assistant Principal and Special Needs Administrator for Benton Heights Elementary School of the Arts. As a classroom teacher, his experiences include teaching middle school math at Sun Valley Middle School, serving as a Department Chair, acting as a Mentor for Beginning Teachers and representing UCPS as a Model Teacher for Mathematics.
Mr. Stout studied at the University of the Cumberlands, located in Williamsburg, Kentucky, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts – Middle School Education and Master of Arts in Education – School Leadership degrees. While at Cumberlands, Mr. Stout earned four varsity letters as a member of the football team.
In his free time, Mr. Stout enjoys attending his daughters’ athletic events, exploring the Charlotte metro area, and traveling the Carolinas. Originally from Ohio, Mr. Stout lives in Wesley Chapel with his wife and two daughters.

Andy Brooks (Assistant Principal)
About Mr. Brooks
Assistant Principal Mr. Andy Brooks grew up in Chapin, SC and came to the Charlotte area to attend Winthrop College in 1988. He competed on the Winthrop College Cross Country team for four years and graduated with a degree in Psychology in 1992. He worked for a year as an admissions counselor for Coker College in SC and decided to pursue a career in secondary education. He earned a Master’s Degree from Winthrop in 1995 and began teaching in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School district in 1996. In 2002, Brooks returned to Winthrop and began working on certification in educational leadership. He became an assistant principal in 2006 and worked at North Mecklenburg and Butler High Schools for three years. Most recently he served as an assistant principal at Mint Hill Middle School.
Mr. Brooks is married and has two children. His wife is the principal at Ardrey Kell High School. His oldest son is a sophomore at Clemson and his youngest son is a junior at Ardrey Kell. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family. He loves outdoor activities and enjoys running, tennis, golfing, snow skiing, hiking, fishing, and traveling.
All members of the immediate Brooks family are involved in the education profession in some way and have grown up with the belief that education is the key to living a rich and fulfilling life. Mr. Brooks says he chose the education profession because of his commitment to this belief. Mr. Brooks is grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the Cuthbertson community and deeply enjoys the interaction with students, families and faculty through his work.

Dr. Georgina Zayas-DeCouto (Assistant Principal)
About Dr. Zayas-DeCouto
Dr. Georgina Zayas-DeCouto has served as an Assistant Principal at Cuthbertson High since 2017. She started her career in Union County Public Schools as a teacher of Exceptional Children in the middle school grades in 2009. She began her career in the New York City Public School System as a teacher of Exceptional Students and later as a city-wide Special Education Administrator. Dr. Zayas-DeCouto graduated with a Bachelor's and Master's degree from New York University in Special Education. She holds a Certificate of Advanced Study in Education Administration and Supervision from New York University and a Doctor of Education degree in Community College Leadership.
As the 504 and Special Needs Administrator, Dr. Zayas-DeCouto has dedicated her life to providing students with various learning needs the access to all possible educational opportunities available. She ensures that all students have moments of personal pride and feel supported at the high school as they prepare for their future.
In her spare time, Dr. Zayas-DeCouto enjoys spending time with family, biking, traveling, and watching soccer. She resides in Union County with her husband and four children.
