Ms. Bee
Hello, my name is Ms. Bee and I am honored to be the Media Coordinator at Weddington Elementary School since 2013. I was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and have lived in the USA since 1983. I am both a Brazilian and an American citizen. I received a Master of Education Degree from Winthrop University, Rock Hill, SC. I am a National Board Certified Teacher and a North Carolina Certified Teacher of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). I have been a media specialist in North Carolina for 28 years. My hobbies are reading (of course!) and traveling. I collect "Bees" and Nativity Scenes.
I hope to have the opportunity to meet all Weddington Elementary parents, as we become partners for the purpose of educating each student. Please, feel free to come to the media center and introduce yourself. We have many opportunities for media center parents volunteering, so let me know if you would be interested in helping.
I am confident that we will have a wonderful school year at Weddington Elementary. Please, keep encouraging your child to read, for reading is the key to success!
