    Senorita Rangel

My name is Anais Rangel (Senorita Rangel) and I am a DLI 3rd grade teacher at Weddington Elementary. This will be my fifth year teaching at Weddington :) and my 10th year teaching.

I am 30 years old. I was born in Caracas, Venezuela. I live in Matthews with my sister. I enjoy traveling, painting, reading & spending time with family and friends. In 2009, I got a degree in Education and in 2011, I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from “Universidad Catolica Andres Bello” a university in Venezuela.

I love teaching and I am looking forward to having a wonderful school year!!!

    Hello Wildcats Families!

I am extremely happy to be here in the United States teaching my native language, Spanish. I am so blessed to have this unique experience while I am also immersed in the culture of my second language, English.

I am from Cali, Colombia (aka, La capital de la salsa). It is a really nice, warm, cozy and happy place. You and your family should definitely visit there, especially at Christmas during the local festivities.

On the professional side, I have a BA in foreign languages: English and French and I am, also, a specialist in children’s literature.

I am currently finishing my Master degree in TESOL at Greensboro College, I love to keep growing professionally, and this is a great opportunity to improve what I am learning while I am living in the US.

I cannot believe this is my 4th year, everybody has been so welcoming and kind, I am truly going to miss everyone.

I sincerely hope we have the best year yet!

    My best wishes to everyone.

    Kind regards,

    Mrs. Naranjo
