• Meet Our Fifth Grade DLI Teachers

    Señorita Sandino

      Sandino

    Hola "familias!"

My name is Anette Sandino. I am from the beautiful capital city of Tegucigalpa, Honduras. I just moved to NC, and have loving it all!  This will be my 12th year teaching elementary, and my first at Weddington. I have two bachelor’s degrees, one in Psychology and the other in Primary Education.  I attended a Dual Language Immersion school as a kid, and since then, I have believed and trusted in this type of education.  Teaching is my favorite thing in the world. I enjoy being with my students and helping them become the best they can be. And when I am not teaching, I love to read, travel and explore other cultures.  I am looking forward to sharing not just my language, but the Honduran culture with you, and, of course, enjoy learning about America’s culture too!

Mrs. Schrock, 5th Grade English Co-Teacher

    Schrock

This is my 13th year of teaching in the classroom. My favorite thing about teaching is helping students develop GRIT. I love to take on new challenges; in my years of teaching, I have taught an entire year virtually and this year I am co-teaching in the DLI program. I love to spend time with my family. My oldest son graduated from Weddington last year and attends the University of North Carolina. My other two sons attend WHS high school. I love being a part of the Weddington community!
