NC School Report Card for MRHS (2016-17) - We are pleased to share the NC School Report Card Snapshot for MRHS from the 2016-17 school year. The report card highlights our overall letter grade of A, and our Exceeds Expected Growth designation. Our numeric grade of 96 placed our school at the top of all comprehensive high schools in the state of North Carolina. Detailed information is included on the NC Report Card Snapshot regarding a variety of student achievement indicators, class size, attendance, teacher qualifications, and school safety. Summer Ventures in Science and Mathematics (SVSM) - a 4 week inter-institutional program of the UNC System is open by application to all rising high school seniors and juniors. Junior Planning Night - On Monday, December 4, MRHS hosted a Junior Planning Night to prepare juniors and their parents for their future success. Academic Options Information - On Tuesday, November 13, MRHS hosted an Academic Options session to provide parents with more information about Career & Technical Education offerings, College & Career Promise (dual enrollment with South Piedmont Community College), Advanced Placement courses, and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program at MRHS. There will be a specific International Baccalaureate session on January 8, 2018 at 6:30pm, and an Advanced Placement Course Fair at 5:30pm (prior to Second Semester Open House) on Monday, February 12, 2018.
This year, the Marvin Ridge High School DECA Club decided to take a "hands on" approach to giving back to the local community.
Over 100 students enrolled in business and marketing classes at Marvin Ridge High School were given the opportunity to experience real life money management scenarios through a one-day partnership with the Ardrey Kell branch of the State Employees Credit Union.
