Career and College Promise

  • The Career and College Promise (CCP) Program allows high school students who qualify to enroll in Community College courses while still attending their home school. These courses can be used for dual credit in order to meet high school graduation requirements as well as accumulate towards an Associate’s Degree or as a plan to meet General Education requirements in a college or university setting.  Students are eligible to take CCP courses if their cumulative GPA is above a 2.8.

If you are interested in taking CCP classes, please email Shannon Thomas (Shannon.Thomas@ucps.k12.nc.us) and Kristen Mims (KMims@spcc.edu) to schedule a meeting.

Not all Career and College Promise courses receive accelerated quality points for the purposes of calculating a student's grade point average. Please consult with the people above to discuss these specifics.
