Cadet Leadership & Flights

  • Parkwood AFJROTC cadets become better leaders and citizens by working as a team to set, meet, and exceed goals for service, awareness, and fundraising; by planning and executing various service, awareness, and fundraising projects; and by competing against units from other schools in drill and sports events.

At the top of the cadet corps organization is the Group Commander, assisted by his/her deputy. Two Squadron Commanders handle Operations (Event/Morale, Welfare, and Recreation Flight, Finance/Community Service Flight, Fitness/Weather Flight, and Flag Detail Flight) and Operations Support (Awareness & Recruiting Flight, Public Affairs Flight, Classroom Detail Flight, Logistics Flight, and Personnel & Information Flight) functions. Each of the 3-6 "classroom flights" each semester (Alpha, Bravo, etc.) is led by a commander and flight sergeant.
