    Media Center Staff:


    • Monday through Friday - 7:30 a.m. to 3:40 p.m.  (open until 4 p.m. or later upon request-see Media Coordinator)

    Library Policies and Expectations:

    • Students are welcome to use the Media Center before and after school. A pass is required to use the Media Center during class periods if not with a class. As students enter the Media Center they must sign in on the laptop on the podium.
    • Students are expected to be respectful of the Media Center, the materials, and the patrons. Please be considerate of the other students and staff who use the facility. 
    • No food or drinks are allowed in the Media Center.
    • Circulation Policy:
      Regular library materials may be checked out for a period of two weeks. Reference materials may also be checked out overnight.
    • Overdue Notices:
      Students are expected to pay for lost or damaged books. Overdue notices will be distributed once per 6 weeks.

    Book Contests

    This year's book contest is called #READ and will be held 3 times-Fall, Winter and Spring.


    Winter 2019 Book Contest-Winners are posted on the scrolling board in the cafeteria and should stop by during lunch to pick up your prize.


    Guess How Many Contests!

    November Contest-There were 143 Lifesavers in the jar for the Nov. contest and Edwin Lopez guessed the closest with 135! He won the whole jar!

    December Contest-Congratulations to Social Studies teacher Ms. Burris for guessing the closest without going over! There were 223 books in the tree and Ms. Burris guessed 222!

    January Contest-Congratulations to Andrea Hernandez for guessing the exact number of Tootsie Rolls-194!

    Make It Here @ PR!

    It's time to learn, create and make! This year the PR Media Center will sponsor a Maker Series where students and staff come together to create and take home a project. Sign up using the links below for the events that will be held from 3:00-3:40 p.m. in the Media Center on the dates listed below. Students and staff must register to attend the events!


    First Semester Workshops


    October-Spooky Jars-Thanks to Mrs. Goldberg for donating many of our jars. We had a great time making our ghost and pumpkin spooky jars! 


    November-Melted Crayon Art-Great job, melted crayon artists! Special thanks to Mrs. Crowley and Mrs. Broadbent for loaning us their hair dryers!


    December-Holiday Candy Jars-December 10th-Snowmen, reindeer and holiday tree Peeps abounded as students and teachers created their candy jars using gumballs, MM's, Twizzlers and mini marshmallows. 


    Second Semester Workshops
    February-Cookie Decorating-Special Thanks to Mrs. Marion for teaching cookie decorating at the workshop! Pink and white hearts decorated many of our sugar cookies!
    March-3D Doodling-Many fun designs were made at the workshop!
    May-Monogramming Fun! Join us Wednesday, May 8th from 3-3:40 p.m. and have fun printing monograms and shapes that will stick on your cup, notebooks, cars and more! All supplies and light refreshments will be provided. Sign up here.
