  • Gauging Interest in the International Baccalaureate Pathways at PRHS

    On Monday night Principal Kim Fisenne held an informational meeting to gauge community interest in International Baccalaureate Programs at Porter Ridge High School in the future.  The programs being explored are the IB Diploma Pathway and the IB Career-related Pathway.  Please see the attached presentation and please make sure to complete the survey at the end so that we can determine interest in our community.

  • ACT/SAT Free Prep Sessions-Huntington Learning Center-Weddington is partnering with UCPS to provide our students with test taking tips and tricks for the ACT and SAT. Students who attend earn participation points toward their school’s #UCPSCollegeReady goal! Click here for the flyer with details.
    UCPS will be administering the ACT and SAT to all juniors for free.

  • Time to prepare for exams!

    As the first semester at Porter Ridge High School comes to a close, students and teachers are preparing for the exams that will take place the week of Jan. 14th through 18th. The Friday before Jan. 14th, students will have a review period during 1st block and 1st block Pirate Prep to prepare for the first exam on Monday.

    This holiday season, Porter Ridge’s clubs and organizations came together to give back to those in need. Several clubs here at PR hosted donation events to spread joy throughout the community. Through all of the generous donations, joy and holiday spirit has been spread throughout the community and to those who need it most.

  • Teddy Bears for a Cure

    This past weekend, senior Sierra Langston from PRHS and foreign exchange student Soomin Lee took 52 teddy bears that they had personally sewn and stuffed to kids in the Levine Children’s Hospital. Langston put this event, called Teddy Bears for a Cure, together for the opportunity to bring some joy to children in some unfortunate situations.
