  • Media Center contests create winning readers

    Since 2014 the Media Center has excited and entertained its patrons with contests. This includes about 5 to 6 Guess How Many Contests where a student or faculty member correctly guesses the closest amount of candy in a jar without going over, the book tree contest, online book questionnaire contests and special contests during School Library Month each April.

  • Rho Kappa: honoring veterans

    This year the PRHS Rho Kappa chapter wanted to recognize their appreciation for US veterans in a creative way. On Tuesday, November 12th they honored them by sponsoring a PRHS wear red, white and blue day.

  • National French Week: La Semaine du Français 2019

    In celebration of National French Week 2019 (La Semaine du Français 2019), which ran from Nov. 4th through Nov. 11th, Monsieur Crider’s and Madame Myers’ French classes participated in several activities.

  • PRHS Castaways bring home awards at NCTC

    PRHS Theater III and IV students competed in the North Carolina Theatre Conference (NCTC) High School Play Festival on Friday, November 8th at Rocky River High School. The cast presented The Actor's Nightmare and Tracks.

  • GREATRACE Student Crew

    Ms. Yearick is looking for about 20-25 GREATRACE student crew members to help set up the Race on April 2nd. You cannot run the race if you are on the set up crew. You will meet with her several times in the weeks prior to the Race to help plan and organize. Also, you would report to E107 right after school and work until about 9:00pm the evening of the Race. Please see her ASAP in E107 to pick up an application if interested. You will receive service hours for your contribution!

  • Media Center's February Maker Series

    Come and learn how to make borders, flowers, and hearts on sugar cookies Thursday, Feb. 6th from 3-4 pm in the Media Center! Sign up here to attend. (Must be signed into your UCPS Google account to sign up.) All supplies and light refreshments will be provided.

  • Media Center's Winter 2020 Book Contest

    The Winter 2020 Book Contest is up and running! Click here to enter. Contest runs until Friday, Feb. 7th. One entry per student/staff. Prizes include a choice between Chick-Fil-A, Smoothie King, Chili's and Texas Roadhouse! Winners will be listed on the scrolling announcements that show in the cafeteria Monday, Feb. 10th Remember that you must be logged into your UCPS Google account to enter.

  • Student Council Leadership Class Applications

    Applications for the Student Council Leadership Class are now available right outside Ms. Yearick's room (E107). To apply for the class, you must currently be in 10th or 11th grade and in good standing regarding grades and conduct. Please see Ms. Yearick with questions. Completed applications are due January 29th by 3:00pm.
