  • Holiday Candy Jars-The next Media Center Maker Series will be Monday, Dec. 10th from 3-4 p.m. in the Media Center. We will make holiday candy jars. All supplies and light refreshments will be provided. Click here to sign up. Last day to sign up is Friday, Dec. 7th.

  • Tell Us What You're Thankful For-The Media Center is hosting a "Thankful For..." Contest just in time for Thanksgiving! Students should come to the Media Center, fill out a turkey or pumpkin with what they are thankful for, enter the contest and put their entry on the door. All entries will be entered into a drawing to win a prize from one of our sponsors: Bruster's, Chick-Fil-A or Texas Roadhouse! Contest ends Tuesday, Nov. 20th and winners will be announced Monday, Nov. 26th.

If you are a current sophomore or junior, you can apply to participate in a summer opportunity to explore many different science and math topics at multiple NC colleges!   • ACT/SAT Free Prep Sessions-Huntington Learning Center-Weddington is partnering with UCPS to provide our students with test taking tips and tricks for the ACT and SAT. Students who attend earn participation points toward their school’s #UCPSCollegeReady goal! Click here for the flyer with details.
    UCPS will be administering the ACT and SAT to all juniors for free.

  • PR's Men's Soccer SW 4A Champs Again!

    PR’s Men's Soccer team finished their regular season off on a high note, beating Hickory Ridge in a 7-0 shutout on their senior night and winning the Southwestern 4A Conference! The Pirates ended their regular season with an exceptional record of 21-2. This is the third year in a row the team has won the conference championship!

  • New beginnings for the Band of Pirates

    At the end of the 2017-18 school year, the Band of Pirates received shocking news: their beloved band directors, Ian Faires and Phillip Loftis, had accepted jobs elsewhere. Emmanuel Ross and Ashleigh Cook were hired in their place, bringing with them new ideas and techniques for both practice and performance. At first, the band struggled to adjust. They found it hard to erase memories of old commands, and even harder to replace them with new ones. However, as they got used to their new directors, they began to improve daily.

    FCCLA stands for Family, Career, and Community leaders of America. The PRHS chapter provides opportunities for enriched learning and is a safe place for all youth to grow, learn, and lead. The club seeks to have a positive impact and foster leadership while helping members develop their own talents and gifts and invest in others.
