Dear Porter Ridge High School Community:

As community members, parents, and students, each of you have a vested interest in your child’s progress and in the progress of Porter Ridge High School as a whole. One way that we, as a school, communicate to you about your student’s academic progress is by sending home a Report Card for your child each grading period.  Once a year, we also provide you with updates on our school’s achievements through the North Carolina School Report Card.

This Report Card from the NC Department of Public Instruction includes important information about school and student performance, class sizes, attendance, school safety, instructional resources, and teacher quality. There is information about how our school measured against state and federal targets or expectations for performance. Report data is available for our school district and for the state’s education system as a whole.

We are excited to announce that Porter Ridge High School has “Met Expected Growth” for the 2022-2023 school year.  This accomplishment is to be celebrated. Our school and district’s full Report Card will be available on the website for the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction at https://www.dpi.nc.gov/data-reports/school-report-cards once released by the state.

We hope that you will take the time to explore our Report Card, but also to learn more about our school by visiting our school website.  Porter Ridge High School has a proud tradition of academic, community, and athletic excellence.  We are proud of our accomplishments and look forward to building on our rich tradition of rigor, relevance, and relationships. 

At Porter Ridge High School, we are extremely proud of our students and the outstanding faculty and staff who work to educate our students each day.  Parent involvement is very important to the success of our school.
