ACT and SAT Resources

  • The ACT and SAT are given to all juniors, at no cost, during the school day each Spring. For this test date, students do not have to register for the test on their own.  For any additional testing, students have to register at the websites below and pay for the exam. Fee waivers are available for students who qualify for free or reduced lunch. Students need to drop by the Counseling Center to pick up this waiver.

    Free ACT Prep

    Chegg and Kaplan
    Chegg offers free ACT prep resources, including video lessons, 1,400 practice problems, test strategies, and a full-length ACT practice test. They also offer online ACT tutors and top-selling test prep books that you can purchase.

    ACT Academy
    ACT Academy™ is a free online test practice program designed to help you get the best score possible on the ACT test. Through video lessons, interactive practice questions, full-length practice tests, educational games, and other materials, ACT Academy provides you with a personalized study plan based on your previous scores from The ACT® test, PreACT®, Official ACT practice tests, or in platform diagnostics.

    Practice on Individual Subjects
    Get an overview of the different ACT subjects: English, Math, Reading, Science, and Writing. Each page covers the length of the section as well as helpful tips and tricks. Each section also has practice questions and passages.

You have access to 8 official, full-length practice tests with content created with the College Board, as well as thousands of practice questions, videos, lessons, and test-taking tips and strategies. You will receive instant feedback and progress reports to let you know where you stand.

    Downloadable (PDF) Practice Tests
    Eight official SAT practice tests are available for free, both online and on paper. Created by the makers of the SAT, each practice test has the same types of questions you'll see on test day. Four of the practice tests have even previously been given as actual SAT exams.
