Mrs. Elizabeth Bartell is Parkwood High School's Career Development Coordinator (CDC). She helps students explore different careers through interest inventories, special events held at the school, career fairs, and individual career goal setting sessions. The popular CTE Academies are very popular amoung students across UPCS. Every high school has a CTE Academy that students can attend, if they complete the CTE Academy Application and meet specific requirements for the Academy.
If accepted into an Academy, student's are responsible for their own transportation to chosen Academy. Here are the CTE Academy locations:
The Class of 2022 (rising freshmen) have an unique opportunity to take part in a STEM pathway while in high school. Students will be able to choose between Computer Science or Renewable Energy. Students who apply and are accepted into a requested pathway will take courses that are uniquely designed for those students.
