Visiting college campuses is the best way to discover if a college is the right fit for you. While many factors go into your decision about which college to attend, the way you feel when you step foot on campus should be a good indicator as to whether or not that particular school will be a good fit for you. It is highly recommended that you visit colleges prior to your senior year. Juniors and seniors are each allowed 3 excused absences for visiting colleges. Just make sure to bring back some kind of proof that you were on campus on the day you were absent from school. Below you will find a link that contains dates, times, and registration information for college Open Houses in North Carolina, South Carolina, and surrounding areas. Please note, this is not an exhaustive list of schools. If you do not see a school listed that you are interested in, visit their Admissions website, or call the school to see when they will be offering an Open House event.
College Visits: Colleges from around the state and country will be visiting CATA throughout the school year. This is a great time for students to learn more about what school(s) might be a good fit for their college experience. All students who want to attend a college visit need to sign up via the "College Visit Sign Up" form. We try to have colleges come during Cougar Time so students don't have to leave class, however, this is not always possible. In the event there is a visit during class time, it is the teacher's discretion as to whether the student can attend.
