After School Summer Camp 2025

  • Registration for families that are NOT currently enrolled in the after school program will begin on March 17 at 9 a.m., depending on availability at the sites.  Please click here to add your child's name to the Online Interest List for Summer Camp.  Once you are on the registration link, select the Summer Camp site which you wish for your child to attend under location, either Poplin or Weddington, once you select the location, in the program box, you will select Summer Camp

    After you complete the information for the Online Interest List for Summer Camp, someone will be in contact with you within 2-3 business days regarding enrollment.

    • June 16 — August 8
    • 7 a.m. — 6 p.m.

    Weekly Tuition / Registration

    • $175 for first child / $170 for siblings
    • Summer Camp is open to all UCPS students in kindergarten through 5th grade (rising 6th graders are OK if the student is 12 years of age or younger). Sorry, no pre-K or rising kindergarteners will be accepted. In order for the sites to prepare for summer camp, registrations will not be accepted after May 2.
    • Weekly tuition is due each week, regardless of whether your child is in attendance. We cannot hold a space for any child without weekly tuition being paid. If you decide to have your child start summer camp at a later date, you are responsible for weekly tuition starting June 16, 2024.
    • Weekly tuition includes two snacks daily: morning and afternoon.

    Fees and Payments

    • Non-refundable Activity Fee: $200 per child. The activity fee covers all field trips, on-site activities and one T-shirt.
    • A non-refundable deposit of $100 per child (applied toward the non-refundable activity fee) is required to register and secure a space for summer camp. The deposit will be due upon acceptance of your child's enrollment in summer camp.
    • Additional T-shirts may be purchased at $10 each and must be purchased at time of registration. 
    • The $100 balance of the non-refundable activity fee is due by Friday, March 28.
    • No refunds, credits or account adjustments of the activity fee (including deposit or any amount paid toward the activity fee) will be given if your child does not attend summer camp, withdraws early from summer camp or starts summer camp at a later date. 

    Additional Details

    • Children must bring a nutritional bag lunch and drink from home.  The North Carolina Division of Child Development requires that a child’s lunch contain two of the following five components: fruit, vegetable, meat or meat alternate, bread and milk.
    • Summer Camp Parent Orientation is tentatively scheduled for May 14 & 15.
