Of the 64 applicants, 32 were selected to serve. The committee includes a parent or community member from each cluster, faith leaders, employees and students.
The committee will serve as a forum to address conversations about diversity and promote a school community that embraces acceptance, denounces, and takes action against prejudice and discrimination.
Throughout the 2020-2021 school year, the committee will work with the Board of Education's Strategic Planning, Technology, and Transportation (SPTT) Committee and UCPS administrators.
Additional details about the committee’s structure and focus areas will be announced when the committee convenes.
