UCPS June Influencers seek to enhance the lives of others

June InfluencersUnion County Public Schools honored its latest influencers at the June 9 Board of Education meeting.

The Influencers program celebrates the passion, dedication and exemplary work ethic of UCPS employees who go the extra mile every day. Each month, our staff members, students, families and community members have the opportunity to nominate UCPS employees for this award to recognize the positive influence they have on others.

The newest honorees are Marc Pooler, a science teacher at Weddington High and Heather Hooks Millis, an Exceptional Children’s instructional assistant at Forest Hills High.

The employees were celebrated for making others feel included and going above and beyond for students and colleagues. Each winner received a certificate, a UCPS Influencers shirt and gift cards.
