UCPS October Influencers build strong relationships with students
Union County Public Schools honored its latest influencers at the Oct. 6 Board of Education meeting.
The Influencers program celebrates the passion, dedication and exemplary work ethic of UCPS employees who go the extra mile every day. Each month, our staff members, students, families and community members have the opportunity to nominate UCPS employees for this award to recognize the positive influence they have on others.
The newest honorees are Heather Palarino, an Exceptional Children’s teacher at Weddington Middle and Deputy Amy Kay, a school resource officer at South Providence School.
The employees were celebrated for their kindness, patience and ability to form long-lasting relationships with students. Each winner received a certificate, a UCPS Influencers shirt and an Amazon gift card. Additionally, Honda of Indian Trail has partnered with UCPS to provide a meal for the instructional winner and their entire school staff.
The dealership is also offering all employees discounts that include $500 off on a vehicle purchase and a complimentary oil change.
