Mason Belcher (Shiloh Valley Primary)

What are your most and least favorite subjects and why?

Math is my favorite subject. I really like doing the math equations and when we use the hundreds chart. (A hundreds chart is a 10 x 10 grid showing all the numbers 1 to 100 in order from smallest to largest.)

I don’t have a least favorite because I like them all.

If you could travel anywhere, where would it be and why?

I would want to travel to Mexico. There is a lot of pretty stuff there and there are oceans and beaches. I’d want to go swimming and fishing. I fish a lot and I’ve caught a flounder before. I’d love to try the food, too.

What do you want to be when you grow up?

I want to be an archeologist. I really love finding old things that nobody has seen before. I first got interested when I saw videos of people digging up old stuff. Then, I played with a toy where I had to dig for stuff and I knew I wanted to do this when I grew up.

What do you do for fun?

I like to play baseball and catch stuff in the creek beside my house. I once caught a catfish. I like to be outdoors and to dig in the dirt. I like to play with my puppy. He’s a couple of months old. He doesn’t know how to fetch yet, but I’ve been running with him in my yard. He’s really fast.

At school, I like it when we make hats out of paper. I made a crown and got to wear it all day.

If you had to choose between spaghetti or pizza which would you choose?

I would choose pizza because I love meat lovers with a thick crust.

What three words best describe you?

  • Nice
  • Helpful - I help a lot with the chores.
  • Kind

What is your happiest school memory?

My kindergarten class is my happiest memory is making new friends. I liked recess because we played tag. I liked making hats there, too.

What advice would you give your parents or teachers?

I don’t have any advice for them.
