What are your most and least favorite subjects and why?

My favorite subject is math because I’m really good with numbers. The process requires you to engage your mind and mental abilities while using pen and paper. I’m in Math I and we are currently learning trend lines, quadratic equations and regressions.

Science is my least favorite subject because I have a hard time understanding chemicals and some of the questions confuse me more than in other subjects. I took it last semester and we learned about world economics, the periodic table and studied some animals.

If you could travel anywhere, where would it be and why?

I’ve already been there but I’d love to visit Paris again. It’s so beautiful there. We went to Cameroon in December and had a layover there. We had a chance to explore a little bit so we went to see the Eifel Tower. I’d love to experience the food. I heard that croissants are a must-try.

Going to school there would be amazing because I’d love to learn how to speak French. Both my parents speak French so it would be good. I plan to take French in high school.

What careers interest you?

I’m interested in acting. I’ve been taking acting classes and recently went to Florida to get represented by an agency. In third grade, I’d act in plays and loved when it was filmed and I realized I loved to be on camera.

I enjoy being different characters, too. I like how you can be someone you are not and create a unique perspective. That’s why I’ve chosen to go to the Central Academy of Technology and Arts for high school to grow my acting experience.

What clubs or activities do you participate in? And why?

I used to play basketball on a team at Carolina Sports.

I did a musical review after school, which included songs from different musicals combined. The song I loved to perform was “Raise Your Voice” from Sister Act the Musical.

If you had to choose between spaghetti or pizza, which would you choose?

I'd pick pizza because it's awesome! You can have it thin and crispy, thick and fluffy, or even stuffed and deep-fried. It's like a world of tasty possibilities! My all-time favorite toppings are pepperoni and sausage.

What three words best describe you?

  • Funny
  • Outgoing
  • Confident

What is your happiest school memory?

Last year, near the end of the school year, we created a gigantic domino setup in the gym. We carefully knocked down the first domino, and it set off a chain reaction that transformed into the shape of the letter W. It was absolutely amazing to watch!

What advice would you give your parents or teachers?

My advice would be to check up on students more because you never know what someone might be going through. It would be great if parents or teachers could be like, “Hey, how are you? How is it going? Are you okay? A lot of students go through hard things and having someone check in can be helpful.
