What are your most and least favorite subjects and why?

My favorite subjects are math and science. I like math because it sometimes gives me a challenge. In science, I like to learn about biology and fossils. Right now, we are learning about ecosystems. We are learning about the aquatic ecosystem like oceans and rivers. The grassland has forests and other lands containing grass.

My least favorite subject would be social studies. We are learning about the explorers. It’s fun and interesting but not something I love to learn about. It’s a great subject; it’s just not as exciting as math and science.

If you could travel anywhere, where would it be and why?

I would travel to Italy because my parents got married there. I’d like to visit the town. There is a document that lists everyone who has been married there. I want to see it.

I also really want to see Andrea Bocelli. My mom and I love him. My mom went to one of his opera concerts.

What do you want to be when you grow up?

I want to be a lawyer and plan to go to Harvard University. I like politics and I like to be involved in things. I also want to help people solve their problems.

My older brother is my role model. I admire him a lot. He wants to go to Yale University someday.

What do you do for fun?

I’m good at singing and gymnastics. I love to read, write and go to the movies. Movies are so much fun. The setting of a book or movie theater is what I like to experience. In the movie theater, you get all the sounds and action more intensely than watching it at home. It's the same with a good book – I feel like I'm inside the story when I read it.

My top three favorite movies are Mission Impossible, Crazy Rich Asians and Legally Blonde. My three favorite books are Hatchet, Front Desk and The Summer I Turned Pretty. That last one has been turned into a TV show. Because I can picture the characters and setting in my head, I'd rather read the book. If the movie or TV version differs from the book, it can be frustrating.

If you had to choose between spaghetti or pizza, which would you choose?

I’d choose spaghetti because it’s better for you. I don’t like angel hair pasta because it’s way too thin and then I feel like I’m slurping it. I like linguine. It’s easier to chew and it has to have white sauce.

I like to cook. I make a really good white sauce with linguine. I make garlic pasta, pizza and tomato boats with basil and mozzarella. I also like to make ramen with an egg. The broth is the best part.

What three words best describe you?

  • Bubbly
  • Interactive
  • Hardworking

What is your happiest school memory?

My happiest school memory was in first grade with Ms. Mills. We had to write a paper about what we did over the summer. Everyone was bragging that they had written one or two pages, which is huge at that age. That summer, I spent a week at home writing six pages. I don’t use the back of the paper because I don’t want people to have to flip it. I taped it all up to make it this huge piece of paper.

Some of the things I’d done were going to the beach, going to Sweden, strawberry and raspberry picking and going to a lot of my friends' houses. It was a busy summer, so I had a lot of details on the paper.

What advice would you give your parents or teachers?

My advice would be to my dad. I’d tell him to take a break so he could relax.
